Encouraging shoplifting prevention with quality relationships: A theory of planned behaviour perspective

摘要: Purpose The cost to supermarkets from shoplifting is a growing problem. Despite huge investments in formal security measures, experience shrinkage and face heavy financial losses. Hence, this paper explores an alternative approach prevention. The purpose of propose that quality relationships between supermarket its customers could be viable strategy for A conceptual model presented at the end encouraging prevention using theory planned behaviour perspective. Design/methodology/approach A systematic search literature on relationship was conducted. Research papers were shortlisted peer-reviewed journals published 2007 2016. For convenience readers, studies are six cross-checked information categories table. Findings This study produced two results. First, it finds three antecedents supermarket-customer quality. These as follows: supermarket’s participation corporate social responsibility cause-related marketing initiatives, service quality, customer’s attachment place/location. Second, there major effective dimensions satisfaction, trust, commitment. proposed incorporates factors both findings, measure may influence intention engage preventive behaviour. Originality/value This research has reviewed existing utilise context prevention, developed novel model/framework with perspective.
