摘要: The steroid hormone, progesterone, plays a critical role in the regulation of female ovulation. physiological effects progesterone are mediated by two nuclear receptor transcription factors, PR-A and PR-B, which produced from single gene upon binding regulate expression specific networks reproductive tissues. Both null mutation PR to delete both proteins selective disruption isoform lead failure ovulation due disabled follicular rupture response gonadotrophin stimulation. Recent studies have revealed that LH stimulus triggers is transduced PRs residing mural granulosa cells induce paracrine signals interact with cumulus control matrix function expansion facilitate rupture.
