摘要: Progesterone regulates reproductive function through two intracellular receptors, progesterone receptor-A (PR-A) and receptor-B (PR-B), that arise from a single gene as transcriptional regulators of progesterone-responsive genes. Although in vitro studies show PR isoforms can display different regulatory activities, their physiological significance is unknown. By selective ablation PR-A mice, we the PR-B isoform modulates subset functions by regulation target Thus, are functionally distinct mediators action vivo should provide suitable targets for generation tissue-selective progestins.
