摘要: Neurofibomatosis (NF1) patients are susceptible to multiple tumors of the nervous system including neurofibromas, optic glioma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath (MPNSTs), and astrocytoma. The Nf1+/—;Trp53+/— (NPcis) mouse model NF1 spontaneously develops astrocytoma MPNSTs that very similar human tumors. To use this for testing potential therapeutics, we have developed systems take advantage bioluminescent reporters tumor growth. We generated E2F1 promoter—driving luciferase (ELUX) reporter mice detect proliferating in NPcis vivo using bioluminescence. power is it enables looking at evolution detecting spontaneous early stages development as they evolve within their natural haploinsufficient microenvironment. This can be used identify different tumorigenesis examine where initiate. ability rapidly screen animals a ti...
