摘要: Background Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) is a safe and effective treatment for certain allergic disorders; however, noncompliance with therapy common. We evaluated the compliance rates among groups receiving AIT at military medical center identified factors affecting compliance. Methods The charts of 381 actively enrolled patients in our program were patient Noncompliant contacted to determine reason stopping therapy. Patients then grouped by diagnosis, age, sex, status, schedule differences. Results overall rate was 77.4%. most common reasons included inconvenience, precluding condition, adverse systemic reaction. There no differences diagnosis or sex. younger than compliant patients, 35.4 years versus 42.4 ( P = 0.001); when divided into three age categories 45 years), youngest oldest more 0.004). conventional those on rush schedule, 80.0% 48.4% Conclusions Factors found affect an regimen include AIT. conditions, reactions. Clinicians need be aware limiting attempt maximize effectiveness.
