Creativity Enhancing Design Environments

摘要: Computers have the potential to be creativity enhancing tools. But most of current systems not lived up these expectations -- they restricted rather than enhanced creativity. Designers were forced express their goals, ideas and (partial) solutions at levels that too remote from problem domains dealing with. To overcome limitations, we developed a conceptual framework prototypical allow designers work with personal meaningful operations. Beyond providing domain-specific abstrac­ tions, our knowledge-based design environments can evaluate criticize an evolving provide feedback designer. They integrate constructive argumentative components. Support for end-user modifiability allows extend themselves. Knowledge-based turn computer into invisible instrument support cooperative solving between human designer computer. Our experience demonstrates serve as important stepping stones towards environ­ ments.
