摘要: This invention discloses a method of modulating the survival and stemness cancer stem cells (CSCs) by expression MDA-9/Syntenin (SDCBP), which regulates multiple genes, controls CSCs activating pathways, including without limitation NOTCH1. In one embodiment, genes that can be regulated or activity (SDCBP) includes, but are not limited to, ALDH1A1, AXL, CD44, DDR1, ID1, ITGB1, c-myc, Nanog, NOTCH, Oct4/POU5F1, Sox2, STAT3. The also decreasing/inhibiting CSCs's tumorigenicity increasing subject with suppression mda-9. provides inhibiting growth cancer, determining metastatic angiogenic potential cancer. further screening for candidate compound modulate activities (SDCBP).
