摘要: This paper presents a neurologic formulation for the clinical features of schizophrenic syndrome, and tests it against systematic, region by review available postmortem neuroanatomical neuropharmacological data. Based on this model is proposed that postulates developmental lesion affecting midline neurotransmitter-specific ascending projection systems. Due to facilitatory role these systems play in development brain regions which they project, such one parsimonious, testable, explanation virtually all clinical, laboratory, pathological findings reported date schizophrenia research. A case made establishing global antemortem-postmortem collaboration using Latin square design; alternative may be that, as has happened past, best efforts dilligent researchers around world lead little improvement our understanding schizophrenia.
