摘要: An increasingly large fraction of Internet services are hosted on a cloud computing system such as Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure. But to date, no in-depth studies about usage by has been performed. We provide detailed measurement study shed light how modern web service deployments use the and identify ways in which cloud-using might improve these deployments. Our results show that: 4% Alexa top million EC2/Azure; there exist several common deployment patterns for front ends; can significantly their wide-area performance failure tolerance making better existing regional diversity EC2. Driving analyses new datasets, including one with over 34 DNS records websites packet capture from university network.
