摘要: ABSTRACTThe relation between technology assessment (TA) and responsible research innovation (RRI) is a very topical (and controversial) issue, as TA clearly enveloped in broader science, (STI) processes, such the EU-wide shift towards RRI. In this short response to van Lente et al.’s [Van Lente, Harro, Tsjalling Swierstra, Pierre-Benoit Joly. 2017. “Responsible Innovation Critique of Technology Assessment.” Journal Responsible Innovation] essay, I first stress that contribution has several merits; for example, it points pervasive challenges communities, issue including normative concerns when assessing innovations, opens these debate, without shying away from engaging communities.
