Infrequent K-ras activation in superficial-type (flat) colorectal adenomas and adenocarcinomas.

摘要: Clinicopathological evidence is accumulating that a superficial-type (flat) colorectal tumor distinct neoplastic entity. To clarify the genetic characteristics of this tumor, we investigated K- ras gene mutations and morphological features 43 tumors type. A mutation codon 12 was detected in only 5 (16%) 31 adenomas 2 (17%) adenocarcinomas. The presence or absence not correlated with size stage histopathological findings.
