摘要: Growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-I are involved in heart development maintaining cardiac structure performance. Cardiovascular disease has been reported to reduce life expectancy both GH deficiency (GHD) excess. Patients with GHD suffer from abnormalities of left ventricular performance, i.e. reduced diastolic filling impaired response peak exercise. also have increased intima-media thickness at the common carotid arteries, associated a higher occurrence atherosclerotic plaques, which may further aggravate haemodynamic conditions. This contribute cardiovascular cerebrovascular risk. These can be reversed, least partially, replacement therapy. In recent years, therapy used increase mass ischaemic or dilated cardiomyopathy, but results produced contradictory data.
