Public Knowledge and Perception of Toads and Frogs in Three Areas of Subtropical Southeast China

摘要: This study investigated people’s perceptions and knowledge of toads frogs in three areas Southeast China: rural Gutian Shan, semi-rural Xin Gan the city Quzhou. In 2010, 672 randomly selected laypersons (between eight 80 years old) were interviewed with help a standardized questionnaire picture test. Study participants named variety frogs. The naming species its actual identification on paper was positively correlated. Overall, thought to be rather beautiful. more amphibian correctly identified, they considered them Amphibians important for pest control, medicinal purposes, consumption. With increasing age, also identified. urban population identified than one, women men.
