摘要: Marker-trait association studies in tomato have progressed rapidly due to the availability of several populations developed between wild species and domesticated tomato. However, absence whole genome sequences for each species, molecular marker methods comparisons fine mapping are required. We describe development validation a diversity arrays technology (DArT) platform using an introgression line (IL) population consisting Solanum pennellii introgressed into lycopersicum (cv. M82). A array 6,912 clones from twelve tomato/Solanaceous was constructed. successfully bin-mapped 990 polymorphic DArT markers together with 108 RFLP across IL population, increasing number available S. by tenfold on average. subset ILs previously associated increased levels lycopene carotene were sequenced, 44% matched protein coding genes. The bin-map position order sequenced correlated well their physical scaffolds draft sequence (SL2.40). utility illustrated converting both phases cleaved amplified (CAPS) markers. Genotype scores CAPS confirmed genotype hybridizations used construct bin map. provides additional “sequence-characterized” QTLs species.
