Anisotropy of thermal and spectral characteristics in Tm:YAP laser crystals

摘要: Abstract Thermal expansion coefficients along three main crystallographic axes of Tm-doped YAlO 3 (Tm:YAP) single crystals were investigated in the temperature range 30–1350 °C, and results showed that they are 11.9458, 5.0012 10.5439 × 10 −6  K −1 , respectively. Polarized absorption fluorescence spectra Tm:YAP a – c directions measured. The cross sections near 794 nm 8.64, 9.22 6.80 × 10 −21  cm 2 According to spectra, b -axis emission section at 1.86 is determined be 4.33 × 10 larger than those two other axes. above anisotropy effect thermal optical characteristics exists crystal orientation preferred one. origin peculiarities discussed.
