摘要: The paper provides an overview of institutions, scientists, and practitioners involved over the years in various ways which participatory plant breeding (PPB) is implemented, with indication crops countries it took place, or still taking place. This might help creating a better awareness scope (both geographical crop wise) different methodologies as well their advantages, disadvantages, applicability, limitations. Through literature survey, we found 254 publications showing that period 36 approaches have been used 69 (10 developed 59 developing) 47 including self-pollinated, cross-pollinated, vegetatively propagated crops, by several Institutions CGIAR centers, universities, NGOs. We argue there are no obvious scientific technical reasons limiting use PPB, interpret limited institutionalization difficulty to accept paradigm shift participation implies.
