摘要: A total of 63 surgically resected esophageal carcinomas (including 49 superficial carcinomas) and histologically normal tissue adjacent to the carcinoma (nontumorous epithelium) were examined immunohistochemically for blood group antigens (BGA) A, B, H, Lewisa, Lewisb, Lewisx, Lewisy. Deletion an expected B or H antigen occurred in 12 (24.5%) three (21.4%) 14 advanced carcinomas. Incompatible expression unexpected only one case (1.6%) carcinoma. In clinicopathologic study, there was a significant correlation between immunoreactivity Lewisa depth cancer invasion (chi-square test, P less than 0.05). carcinoma, correlations Lewisx lymph node status 0.05), Lewisy prognosis (Z incompatible Lewisb tumor against nontumorous epithelium histologic variation 0.01). The functional significance alternations BGA that may be associated with oncogenesis is not clear. However, immunohistochemical determination more advantageous marker predict patient's clinical course
