摘要: Taurine (2-aminoethanesulfonic acid) is chemically a very simple substance, containing two methylenes situated between an amino group and sulfonic acid moiety, the latter replaces carboxyl of β-alanine. Because positioning these groups, taurine classified as α-amino acid. not incorporated into proteins because sulfonyl but remains free in plasma tissues. It ubiquitous found high concentrations especially heart that approximately 100 times than plasma. The major source myocardial via active transport mechanism, although synthesized by heart. Schaffer et al. (1982) first recognized importance sodium process, suggesting Na+-taurine cotransport. Subsequent studies using isolated mouse myocytes confirmed this finding (Awapara & Beg, 1976; Hirai, 1980), showing uptake was both energy dependent. Earm suggested present symposium could potentiates activation isoprenaline- induced background current there might be electrogenic cotransport mechanism cardiac myocytes.
