摘要: Charcoals that contain calcium compounds have been synthesized by impregnating wood with chloride followed carbonization at 500 degrees C, 650 C or 900 C. The charcoals were characterized SEM, EDAX, XRD and chemical titrations. These adsorbents porous the microstructure. revealed presence of crystallized CaCO(3) CaO. Despite this content, all showed acidic surface properties pH point zero charge (pH(PZC)) values around 7.4-7.7. Their performance for fluoride removal from aqueous solution was evaluated batch experiments. Fluoride adsorption kinetic a pseudo-second order model.
