摘要: The role of p21WAF1/CIP1 (p21) in DNA repair and apoptosis following γ-irradiation remains controversial. In this study the influence p21 on radiosensitivity human brain tumors was investigated. Resected were stained immunohistochemically for p21. Expression astrocytic high, but it low medulloblastomas, germinomas, primary malignant lymphomas. Glioma medulloblastoma cell lines transfected with pcDNA/p21 to cause overexpression, then tumor-cell colony formation assessed nontransfected cells. Overexpression enhanced clono-genic survival suppressed after tumor or without p53 protein deficiency. Radioresistance acquired when overproduced glioma irrespective status.
