Effect of irradiation on stress corrosion cracking in supercritical water

摘要: Proton irradiation was used to study the effect of on stress corrosion cracking 316L stainless steel and nickel-base alloy 690 in supercritical water (SCW). Irradiation 7 dpa at 400 °C 500 resulted increased (SCC) SCW over unirradiated case with severity increasing temperature. results significant radiation-induced segregation, formation dislocation loops voids (at °C) hardening. Neither RIS nor hardening correlates SCC susceptibility.
