摘要: Aim: We aimed to explore gender impacts on the associations between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and thyroid function in Chinese population. Methods/results: Gender RDW 8424 males 5198 females were investigated. was found significantly lower than females. An increasing trend of along with aging demonstrated males. For females, an obvious decrease shown during menopause period. From binary logistic regression, displayed negative relationship hypothyroidism both genders as a single factor. However, if analyzed categorical variable (in quartiles) continuous models covariates, all odds ratios negative, except for weak-negative women model. Conclusion: The current study suggests that anisocytosis could be contributing factor dysfunction.
