摘要: Quasi-aligned gold nanodots with a periodicity of ~ 40 nm have been synthesized on silica substrate by oblique deposition fast argon atom-beam-created nanoripples wavelength 40 nm and subsequent annealing. The size distribution these aligned resulting from at 85° 0.5 nm Au film perpendicular to ripples is narrower than the similar flat surface. annealing process was simulated three-dimensional kinetic lattice Monte Carlo technique in order understand formation nanodots. atomistic simulation experimental results suggest that there an optimal thickness which can result along case depositions ripples. formed after films deposited parallel or surface lack alignment.
