摘要: Microsatellite instability (MSI) occurs in about 15% of gastrointestinal cancers and it is associated with specific clinic, pathologic, molecular features the tumors. MSI-high (MSI-H) carcinomas also follow tumor development pathways. This review focused on profile alterations members KRAS signaling pathway (EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, PIK3CA, RASSF1A, MLK3 genes) MSI carcinomas. Alterations these genes characterize more than half frequently occur simultaneously same tumor, pinpointing as one most altered pathways this subset cancers. Nowadays, many novel inhibitors targeting molecules are being described; therefore, worthwhile to test their efficacy order develop new directed targeted therapies for patients affected by disease.
