摘要: Genes of the RAF family encode kinases that are regulated by Ras and mediate cellular responses to growth signals. Activating mutations in one gene, BRAF, have been found a high proportion melanomas small fraction other cancers. Here we show BRAF colorectal cancers occur only tumours do not carry RAS gene known as KRAS, mutation is linked proficiency these repairing mismatched bases DNA. Our results provide genetic support for idea KRAS exert equivalent effects tumorigenesis, but also emphasize role repair processes establishing spectra underpin human cancer.
