摘要: A decade has already passed since we discovered, essentially by serendipity, the membranal glycoprotein later named MAst cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA). While trying to identify still elusive Ca2+ channel responding type 1 Fcɛ receptor (FcɛRI) stimulus, a series of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) were raised rat mucosal-type mast cells RBL-2H3 line. One these mAbs, G63, caused dose-dependent inhibition secretory response FcɛRI stimulus and was shown bind protein which proceeded isolate characterize (Ortega-Soto Pecht 1988).
