摘要: Whether melanocortin 4 receptors (MC4Rs) in extra-hypothalamic neurons, including cholinergic autonomic pre-ganglionic are required to control energy and glucose homeostasis is unclear. We found that MC4Rs sympathetic, but not parasympathetic, neurons were regulate expenditure body weight, thermogenic responses diet cold exposure 'beiging' of white adipose tissue. Deletion Mc4r genes both sympathetic parasympathetic impaired homeostasis.
