摘要: Purpose The role of surgery to remove the primary tumor among patients with stage IV colorectal cancer (CRC) is controversial. purpose this study was evaluate surgical practice patterns for ≥ 65 years age CRC in a US population-based cohort. Patients and Methods We used Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results-Medicare–linked database treatment 9,011 Medicare beneficiaries presenting from 1991 1999. were categorized according whether they had primary–cancer-directed (CDS) or no CDS within 4 months diagnosis. use other modalities, including metastasectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, evaluated relationship belonged group.
