摘要: In spite of the decreasing share nuclear power all over world, China resumed approval large-scale construction plants in 2012. However, influenced by worldwide spreading anti-nuclear attitudes, people who live near showed increasing concerns about risks. Consequently, Not My Backyard (NIMBY) syndrome should be evaluated prudently to support healthy development China. Based on face-to-face survey data, this study estimates Chinese public willingness pay (WTP) avoid having neighborhood. The respondents include both residents currently and those would future. Considering possible presence sample selection bias caused protest responses, paper constructs a two-step model with responses double bounded dichotomous choice (DBDC) questions. Using Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), we measure effects influencing factors WTP decay longer distances from plants. results suggest that most are willing higher electricity prices Comparing nearby current price, find there is an increase 56.7% 69.1% respondents’ for plant located 80 km 30 km, respectively.
