摘要: Papillary carcinomas are a special histological type of breast cancer and have relatively good outcome. We characterized the genomic phenotypic characteristics papillary to determine whether they would constitute an entity distinct from grade- oestrogen receptor (ER)-matched invasive ductal no (IDC-NSTs). The phenotype 63 ER-matched IDC-NSTs was determined by immunohistochemistry. DNA sufficient quality extracted 49 microdissected IDC-NSTs. These samples were subjected high-resolution microarray-based comparative hybridization (aCGH) Sequenom MassARRAY sequencing analysis 19 known oncogenes. predominantly low grade, expressed immunohistochemical markers consistent with luminal phenotype, lower rate lymph node metastasis p53 expression than displayed less aberrations IDC-NSTs; however, patterns gene copy number found in similar those ER- grade-matched IDC-NSTs, including 16q losses. Furthermore, PIK3CA mutations 43% 29% respectively. profiles encapsulated, solid carcinomas, three morphological subtypes, remarkably similar. Our results demonstrate that homogeneous cancer. similarities suggest may be best positioned as part spectrum ER-positive cancers, rather entity. prognosis stem rates expression, high prevalence mutations.
