摘要: We compared the bone and body composition results in vivo on two densitometers using fan-beam geometry (EXPERT PRODIGY) with those pencil-beam (DPX). Measurements were made large groups of adults ranging weight from about 50 to 120 kg. Both spine femur neck BMD averaged within 1% results, there was no magnitude dependence by Bland-Altman analysis. Total BMC PRODIGY DPX congruent, but EXPERT, 2% lower higher than corresponding values DPX. Soft-tissue closely congruent for DPX; comparable EXPERT-DPX differences showed greater scatter significant dependence. The smaller fan-angle (4°) probably contributed its better congruence EXPERT (12°).
