摘要: We have used transgenic mice that carry an activated c-neu oncogene driven by a mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) promoter to assess the stepwise progression of carcinogenesis in epithelium. Unlike stochastic occurrence solitary tumors bearing MMTV/c-myc or MMTV/v-Ha-ras oncogenes, uniformly expressing MMTV/c-neu gene develop adenocarcinomas involve entire epithelium each gland. Because these arise synchronously and are polyclonal origin, expression appears be sufficient induce malignant transformation this tissue single step. In contrast, transgene parotid gland epididymis leads benign, bilateral epithelial hypertrophy hyperplasia which does not progress full during observation period. These results indicate combination context major determinants form has particularly deleterious consequences.
