摘要: The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effects experimental dicrocoeliosis on hepatic oxidative drug-metabolizing system in hamsters. Studies were carried out 80 and 120 days after infestation with an oral dose 40 metacercariae Dicrocoelium dendriticum. parasitic pathology ascertained by detection fluke eggs faeces, increased serum alanine aminotransferase aspartate activities, postmortem histological findings. Cytochrome P-450 concentration, aniline hydroxylase activity ethoxycoumarin O-deethylase significantly decreased both groups infected animals. Aminopyrine N-demethylase erythromycin only reduced infection. Effects drug metabolizing enzymes unrelated changes physical state microsomal membrane, as assessed measurement fluorescence polarization. results study indicate that capacity liver for handling drugs xenobiotics may be impaired a consequence dicrocoeliosis.
