摘要: Abstract Although the concept of ecosystem services (ES) has thrived over last ten years, its operationalization is still in infancy. A major challenge operationalizing ES selection scientifically defensible, policy relevant and widely accepted indicators. Here we examine how conceptualizations influence indicator selection, what criteria (such as validity relevance to a issue) are applied this process. We analyze framed “Mapping Assessment Ecosystems their Services” (MAES) working group which used project. Our findings indicate that there room for improvement indicators, especially with regard specific (e.g. validity), linking indicators issues.
