摘要: Oxytetracycline (OTC), a broad-spectrum antibiotic, is used widely to treat bacterial diseases in farmed fish. In the present study, time course of OTC concentrations freshwater rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum), and seawater chinook salmon, tshawytscha were compared, tissue by tissue, after receiving bolus dose antibiotic (5 mg kg–1 or 50 mg kg–1) intra-arterially (i.a.). The concentration–time profiles trout tissues found be very similar those corresponding salmon. Therefore, neither water salinity nor fish species seemed play an important role disposition elimination these salmonids. separate experiment, implanted surgically with urinary cannula received single (50 mg kg–1) i.a.
