摘要: The pozzolanic properties of the equilibrium catalyst (Ecat), an abundant waste from fluid catalytic cracking units oil refineries, have been studied in cementitious matrices. consumption calcium hydroxide is usually taken as a means to assess pozzolanicity material, ignoring formation C–S–H and other hydrates, main product reaction. use thermal analysis methods allows identification quantification products hydration reaction, based on loss chemically combined water phases present matrix. In study, TG/DTG techniques were used quantify amount + ettringite, C–A–S–H C–A–H, cement–Ecat pastes, containing 0–40 % Ecat, aged for 1–28 days. influence content these mechanical resulting samples was also investigated by axial compression. results further confirmed activity so that production increased with aging time, but smaller than reference paste. compressive strength test showed pastes 10 14 28 days, presented improved compared corresponding references.
