摘要: Lung cancer is the most common diagnosed malignancy and leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Murine double minute 2 (MDM2) SNP309 polymorphisms have been reported to influence risk lung cancer. However, published studies together with four subsequent meta-analyses yielded contradictory results. To examine this inconsistency, we conducted a meta-analysis 6,696 cases 7,972 controls from eight case-control using METAGEN. Odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated STATA software used assess strength association. In overall analysis, significant association between MDM2 polymorphism was observed (OR, 1.143; CI, 1.047–1.247). Moreover, stratified by ethnicity, found in Asians 1.260; 1.111–1.429), but not Europeans. Subgroup analysis gender, histology smoking status suggested that genotype associated increased women 1.282; 1.062–1.548) never smokers 1.328; 1.119–1.575). No statistically males ever population, no subgroup based on histology. conclusion, significant, particularly Asians, population.
