摘要: AIM: To investigate semaphorin 4D (Sema4D) and hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) expression in colorectal carcinoma evaluate their clinicopathological prognostic significance. METHODS: Eighty-six curatively resected patients at different stages of disease were randomly selected from the group who underwent surgery, none them received preoperative radiochemotherapy. Normal proximal adjacent bowel tissue, which served as an internal control, was obtained 52 patients. Immunohistochemistry performed to analyze Sema4D tumor angiogenesis-related protein HIF-1α normal tissues tissues. The relationships between clinical characters prognosis analyzed. RESULTS: positively expressed 58% 60% tissues, respectively. Significantly lower levels observed mucosa (8% 12%, respectively). closely correlated with histological type, tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage, lymphatic metastasis (P 0.05). significantly carcinoma, determined by Spearman rank correlation analysis (r = 0.567; P < 0.01). Multivariate Cox revealed that only played a significant role predicting patient 0.05). CONCLUSION: These findings suggest correlates TNM is indicator carcinoma.
