摘要: Sixteen stone martens (Ma'rres ,foina) were intensively radio-tracked in central Italy order to assess their spacing patterns. Home-range sizes and distances travelled per night analysed with respect sex, age, season, habitat. Intrasexual territoriality is confirmed for the species; home-range edges appeared be determined by dispersion of neighbours' territories. size was positively correlated presence woodland (less abundant more dispersed resources). Males longer than females, although did not differ significantly sex; males move during rutting season other seasons. Subadults tolerated adults varying periods, then some cases they started an exploring phase before settling into a vacant territory. Stone martens' patterns affected sex. social interactions, resources. In particular, appear key influencing factor, as territoriality, parental behaviour, mating dispersal young can account site fidelity, home ranges. distance travelled. our data indicate importance extended relationship between pair, which probably related male investment, determining species.
