摘要: Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is observed in individuals that have pre-existing heterotypic dengue antibodies and associated with increased viral load high levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines early infection. Interestingly, a recent study showed virus infection the presence resulted poor stimulation Toll-like receptors (TLRs), thereby facilitating particle production, also suggesting TLRs may contribute to disease pathogenesis. Methodology/Principal Findings: We evaluated expression TLR2, 3, 4 9 co-stimulatory molecules CD80 CD86 by flow cytometry. This was monocytes, myeloid plasmacytoid dendritic cells (mDCs pDCs) from 30 patients different clinical outcomes 20 healthy controls. Increased TLR3 TLR9 DCs (DF) detected. In severe manifestations, observed. addition, we found lower TLR2 DF compared DHF. Expression TLR4 were not affected. Furthermore, altered mDCs pDCs cases. show interferon alpha production decreased after PBMCs agonist (CpG A). suggests can affect response through this signaling pathway. Conclusions/Significance: These results during progression, profile changes depending on severity disease. Changes could play central role DC activation, influencing innate immune response.
