摘要: Over ten years ago, taurine was identified as an essential nutrient for cats (7). Without a dietary source of this amino acid, such their natural taurine-rich diet meat and fish, both kittens adult undergo decline in plasma tissue levels, reduced electroretinogram amplitudes with prolonged peak latencies, progressive retinal degeneration which eventually results blindness (8,24,26). As Dr. Sturman describes elsewhere volume, deprivation pregnant also produces more widespread nervous system disturbances, including abnormal development the cerebellum visual cortex (19,27). Although appear to be unique severity effects produced by deprivation, it is now clear that they are not only species affected. Recent studies human children infant monkeys show changes structure function associated deprivation.
