摘要: Objective: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), despite being the uncommon subtype, contributes a major portion to mortality and associated with poor prognosis. The purpose of this study was evaluate cytological criteria for diagnosis TNBC through fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). Material Method: Clinical, cytological, histological, immunohistochemical (IHC) data 256 patients were evaluated, patient classified as non-TNBC phenotype by IHC. All specimens reviewed 12 criteria: cellularity, tubule/gland formation, syncytial clusters, large bare nuclei, nuclear atypia, chromatin pattern, cell borders, nucleolus, cytoplasm, lymphocytic infiltrate, calcification, necrosis. Fischer's exact test used show association. Result: Out patients, 82 TNBC, 174 non-TNBC. showed statistically significant association cluster lymphocyte infiltration, Conclusion: FNAC can be helpful in making along ER, PR, HER2 characterization, planning treatment strategy, saving time, manpower, resources management.
