Adenosine deaminase activity in patients with the intestinal type of gastric carcinoma

摘要: Adenosine deaminase activity was studied in tissue slices taken endoscopically from gastric mucosa of patients with the intestinal type carcinoma. The enzyme measured mucosal homogenates by determination ammonia liberated substrate during 10-min incubation. It found that: (1) de novo cancer significantly lower than that recurrent remnant; and (2) uninvaded surrounding neoplastic lesion non-operated stomach partially resected due to malignancy. Since correlated well advance disease estimated ultrasonography examination, we speculate some systemic factors associated tumor progression might be implicated regulation adenosine activity.
