摘要: Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of reirradiation using high-dose-rate interstitial brachytherapy (HDR-ISBT) in patients with recurrent cervical cancer. Methods The records 52 consecutive women central pelvic recurrence who were salvaged HDR-ISBT–based retrospectively reviewed. Data regarding primary disease, follow-up findings, recurrence, treatment outcome, toxicities collected. Multivariate analysis was performed Cox proportional hazards regression model identify predictors response HDR-ISBT. Survival rate calculated Kaplan-Meier method compared log-rank test. Results A total had been treated included our database. local control 76.9% (40/52), median postrecurrence survival period 32 months. Grade 3 or 4 late observed 13 (25%). revealed that tumor size treatment-free interval significant poor prognostic factors survival. In a comparison between (ISBT group) those palliative therapy alone (palliative group), we found among displayed 0 1 factors, ISBT group survived significantly longer than group. contrast, similar rates seen both groups 2 more factors. Conclusions Reirradiation HDR-ISBT is effective feasible Our 2-clinical variable might enable physicians would not derive clinical benefit from offer them opportunity receive other types treatment.
