摘要: Several genes have been related to late-onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD). Phospholipases A2 (PLA2) influence the processing and secretion of amyloid precursor protein, which gives rise beta-amyloid peptide, major component plaque in AD. Hence, present study, polymorphisms three encoding PLA2 enzymes group (cytosolic PLA2: BanI cPLA2 polymorphism; calcium-independent AvrII iPLA2 PAFAH: Val279Phe PAFAH polymorphism) were analysed a case-control sample using 58 patients with LOAD 107 matched healthy controls. There was genotypic association between polymorphism (chi2=6.25, 2df, p=0.04), however there no allelic association. associations LOAD. These data suggest that may play role susceptibility for our Brazilian sample.
