摘要: The cellular origins and the mechanisms of progression, maintenance tumorigenicity, therapeutic resistance are central questions in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) field. Using tumor suppressor mouse models, our group recently reported two independent populations adult GBM-initiating nervous system progenitors. We found different functional molecular subtypes depending on tumor-initiating cell lineage, indicating that origin is a driver GBM subtype diversity. an vivo model, we also showed cancer stem cells (CSCs) or glioma (GSCs) contribute to chemotherapeutic agents genetic ablation GSCs leads delay progression. These studies consistent with CSCs as critical regulators pathogenesis GBM.
