摘要: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in mitotic checkpoint genes can contribute to susceptibility of human cancer, including gastric cancer (GC). We aimed investigate the effects Aurora kinase A (AURKA), B (AURKB), and C (AURKC) gene on GC risk Slovenian population. genotyped four SNPs AURKA (rs2273535 rs1047972), AURKB (rs2241909), AURKC (rs758099) a total 128 patients 372 healthy controls using TaqMan allelic discrimination assays evaluate their risk. Our results showed that genotype frequencies between cases were significantly different for rs1047972 rs758099 (P < 0.05). study demonstrated TT (CC + CT) genotypes associated with an increased cancer. additionally revealed also In stratified analysis, SNP both, intestinal diffuse, types GC. addition, positively type risk, but not diffuse Based these results, we conclude could affect development. Further larger studies are needed confirm findings. © 2016 IUBMB Life, 68(8):634-644, 2016.
