摘要: Objectives To determine whether diabetes mellitus and the associated changes in bladder function will trigger wall tissue remodeling concomitant alterations mechanical properties. We investigated time course of properties diabetic diuretic rat bladders using both vivo vitro techniques Methods Cystometry was performed at 2, 4, 8 weeks on female Sprague-Dawley rats that had received either a single injection streptozotocin (65 mg/kg intraperitoneally) or 5% sucrose drinking water for duration experiments. At each point, biaxial 10 × 10-mm specimens obtained from posterior part were quantified. The overall compliance anisotropy as examined Results Both conditions led to increases weight, capacity, compared with controls all points tested. Under loading, tissues exhibited nonlinear stress-strain relationship anisotropy, greater circumferential direction than longitudinal direction. Although increased progressively synchronously ≤4 weeks, only continued increase ≤8 (diabetic 0.64 ± 0.04 vs 0.48 0.05, P = .03) Conclusions results our study have shown diuresis mainly contributes “early” bladder, inducing additional “late” after 4 weeks.
