摘要: While techniques for identifying urban transport problems, predicting the effects of possible solutions and appraising their performance are well developed, there is a significant gap in decision-making chain relating to generation those solutions. A literature review has identified number option methods other sectors, which potential application transport. It categorises them into ‘inside box’ methods, principally quantitative draw on pre-existing list solutions, ‘outside more qualitative but potentially better able generate wholly novel also distinguishes between applications at levels formulation an overall strategy detailed design particular scheme. An method been developed building capabilities existing web-based knowledgebase, KonSULT. The principles described further developments outlined.
