摘要: We investigated mutations of the epithelial (E)-cadherin gene and loss heterozygosity (LOH) at flanking loci using three microsatellite markers on long arm chromosome 16 in 25 ductal carcinomas breast. Expression E-cadherin was also immunohistochemically. No were detected exons 6 through 9 gene. LOH observed more frequently (42%) D16S402 (16q-ter) than D16S421 (16q22.3-q23.1) (17%), which is located near cell borders 92% (11/12) tumors examined. The absence its conserved expression suggest that inactivation does not contribute significantly to invasion or metastatic potential Furthermore, high frequency 16q-ter suggests existence another tumor suppressor may play a crucial role genesis
